Peer Review Process

The aim of whole peer review procedure is to ensure the professional quality of the journal. The task of the reviewer is a professional assessment of the article, which author(s) provide according to specified template in electronic form. Comments and recommendations reviewer summarize in the electronic review form in journal's system. The review forms are provided to author(s) in the case that shortcomings were found in the article, which should be corrected before publishing.

The article will be published only if the reviewers recommend it for publication and if the author adequately responds to all comments and removes any mentioned ambiguity. The corrected article might undergo review again in situation when reviewers specifically requires it (revision required or resubmit for review).

However, every article is then checked by the section editor, layout editor and proofreader to guarantee maximal quality of the article.

The time appointed for elaboration of peer review is usually about 20 weeks. During this period the reviewers elaborate the peer review on given article and express their opinions by the online peer review form in redaction system of Advances in Electrical and Electronic Engineering journal.

Why Advances in Electrical and Electronic Engineering journal uses peer review?

  • It has function of filter, which separate less quality articles with lower scientific contribution.
  • It increases scientific quality of papers presented by journal and defines other directions of research and science in technical, mathematical and physical branches.

Every reviewer should ask this kind of questions to himself prior to the reviewing of given article:

  • whether or not is qualified enough to perform review of given article,
  • whether or not have enough time to elaborate a peer review in required quality,
  • whether or not feel conflict of interests in elaboration of peer review for given article.

Publication Frequency

Articles in this journal are publisher quarterly in spring (March), summer (June), fall (September), and winter (December) numbers. Periodical Advances in Electrical and Electronic Engineering is out standard four times a year in electronic on-line version, always:

  • March 31,
  • June 30,
  • September 30,
  • December 31.

We accept regular article submissions throughout the year. The time period between submitting an article and its publication is about:

  • 5-10 months,

Special issues from conference

Our journal does not publish conference materials (e.g. papers submitted to a conference), with the possible exception of invited, keynote speaker or selected papers. Thus, only papers with sufficiently good scientific quality will be accepted. However, the extended versions of full papers, different from those presented at the conference, can be published only. The paper submitting to the journal should differ from the previously published material by at least:

  • 40 percent.

The journal redaction requires sending of the conference proceedings (on CD) for the evaluation of the extension of article sent for publication in a special issue. The decision about acceptance/rejection is made based on the recommendations of the:

  • two independent reviewers,

where:

  • one of them must be appointed by the given Conference Scientific Committee,
  • the second one by the Journal redaction.

The Editorial Board can reject further papers based on the recommendation of additional referees in questionable cases. The papers from a given conference will be published together in a special issue of Advances in Electrical and Electronic Engineering journal.
